Hello All!

I am the Middle School Counselor at Nodaway Valley Community School District. For two years, I served as the school counselor at Orient-Macksburg Schools. In March 2020, I graduated with my Masters of Science degree in School Counseling from Capella University. Prior to my school counseling experience, I double majored with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Services through Buena Vista University. With that degree, I provided counseling services in various capacities. I provided in-home, behavioral, and grief counseling. One of my most valuable experiences was working as an advocate for victims of abuse. For four years, I walked beside victims of abuse as they navigated through the healing process. I am very passionate about empowering and helping others find their voice and confidence.

In my personal life, I am a wife of 11 years, a mother of 4 children, and a friend to many. I am an alumni of Nodaway Valley and grew up in Greenfield, Iowa. My husband Jesse and I moved to Orient shortly after we got married in 2012. My daughter, Capri, is 9 years old. I have twin boys, Colter and Cassius, who are 6, and a daughter, Collins, who just turned 3 year old. Also, I love watching and participating in sports of all kinds. Music is my saving grace! I listen to all kinds and often utilize it in classroom lessons. DIY projects are something I'm notorious for, although they may not always go as planned.

I feel privileged to have the position I do here at Nodaway Valley and look forward to making so many more memories. I appreciate all of the welcoming support and encouragement that I've received my first couple of years as a Middle School Counselor! Here's to a memorable year!
